Starting as early as next week, Custer will have a pedicab shuttling people up and down Mount Rushmore Road.At the March 19 meeting of the Custer City Council, Tommy Hegerfeld, owner of Custer Wolf, asked for and received permission from the council to operate a pedicab on Mount Rushmore Road in the Central Business District this summer. A pedicab is a form of transportation like a bike that is pedaled at the front but has a bench seat at the rear for passengers to ride on.Hegerfeld told the council in a letter that the pedicab would have working break lights, blinkers and headlights.
