Free yard waste dropoff is Saturday

On Nov. 5 the City of Custer will once again offer the chance for residents to drop off yard waste for free  at the old dump site.
On that day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. residents will be allowed to bring their waste to the site, provided they show a residential city utility billing statement receipt and photo ID when arriving at the site. Commercial accounts will not be allowed access.
Only yard waste will be accepted, such as leaves, tree limbs, grass, pine needles, etc.
The old dump site is located at the intersection of Sylvan Lake and Willow Creek roads.
All yard waste must be loose, and no plastic bags will be allowed. There is a limit of one pickup or small trailer load.
In case of inclement weather, drop off may be cancelled.
