Forest Service opposes land exchange

Just like Bismarck Lake, the light blue area shows the proposed 1,468 acres of Spearfish Canyon that the state of South Dakota wants the Forest Service to trade in hopes of making a state park. The dark blue outline is the proposed boundary of the park.
The U.S. Forest Service made an official declaration against Senate Bill 3254, the Spearfish Canyon and Bismarck Lake Land Exchange Act. The legislation, which was introduced by Sen.
