Frances Mary (Bocchetta) Galati was the wife of the late Arthur Charles Galati (1938-83) and the companion and best friend of Ken Barfoot for nearly 30 years.
Frances loved the Lord throughout her life. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was actively engaged in the VFW, hospital auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and her weekly prayer group. She found great joy volunteering for Meals on Wheels, Colonial Manor Nursing Home and the senior center, where her pies will be missed. Frances loved to cook and spoiled friends and family with hearty meals.
Frances, of Custer, S.D., died Feb. 13, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was 80.
She was preceded in death by two children, William and Dorothy.
She is survived by Charles (GerryLynn) Galati of Falmouth, Mass.; Donna (Chris) Brady of Anderson, S.C., and Ramona (Edward) Martel of Plymouth, Mass.; grandchildren, Cheryl Silva, Charles Jr., Newman and Maria Galati, C. Grant and Gracie Brady, Amber, Anthony and Kimberly Martel; 13 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Gloria, Ann, Barbara, Mary Ann, Catherine, Dorothy, Anthony and Joanne.
A funeral Mass was held Feb. 22 at St. Bonaventure Church in Manomet, Mass., with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery in Plymouth. Following the services, a buffet luncheon was held at East Bay Grille on the waterfront of Plymouth Bay.
