Hartshorn, Woodward shine for CHS rodeo


Several Custer High School rodeo team members participated in the recent Custer Rowdy Roundup, with a pair of athletes placing at the rodeo.

Jessica Woodward had a big day, as she finished third in the girls’ all-around competition after placing first in goat tying at 7.88, third in pole bending at 21.865 and 10th in breakaway roping with a time of 14.09.

Trevor Hartshorn placed first in tie-down roping on the boys’ side of the competition, with a top time of 13.31. Hartshorn also finished tied for third overall in the boys’ all-around.

Other Custer High School team members who participated were Hunter Alexander, Grace Kremer, Lexi McCoy, Hope Tietsort, Jaret Woodward and Jestyn Woodward.
