Kenneth A. Friedman was born Dec. 25, 1932, in San Francisco, Calif., to Philip and Joan (Harris) Friedman. Kenneth met his future wife, Mary Beth in Oakland, Calif., and married her in 2001.
Kenneth proudly served in the United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations which he compared to a combination of the FBI and CIA. He was honorably discharged in 1958.
Kenneth enjoyed flying and achieved aviation licensures to include his pilots license, multi-engine license and instrumental licenses. He owned many planes including a high performance aircraft. His other passions were the game of golf and his gift of cooking.
Kenneth, of Custer, S.D., died Nov. 28, 2018, at Rapid City (S.D.) Regional Hospital. He was 85.
He is survived by his wife, Mary of Custer; children, Kirk (Marilyn) Friedman of Woodland, Calif., Bryan (Lena) Friedman of Avila Beach, Calif., Jennifer Nee of Burlingame, Calif., and Marty Friedman.
