Library damage around $50k

The Custer County Library reopened yesterday after county maintenance staff patched a hole in the wall caused when a vehicle was driven through it. Maintenance staff also used plastic sheeting to cordon off the damaged area of the library inside. The library will remain open unless contractors deem it necessary to close it while permanent repairs to the walls are made.
Repairs to the Custer County Library could cost between $40,000 and $50,000 after the west wall of the library had a hole put in it by a vehicle last week.
