Lauryn Robb holds a ribbon she won for placing seventh in the junior varsity competition at last week’s Black Hills Conference Meet.

Custer JV golfer Lauryn Robb had one goal going into the Black Hills Conference Tournament in Belle Fource last Thursday—she wanted to place in the top 15. She met that goal and then some.

Robb shot a 55 in nine holes to place seventh in the junior varsity and earned a ribbon for her efforts.

“I am very proud of how hard she worked this season to meet her goal,” said coach Haley Uphoff.

Other Custer golfers in the JV round included Maddie Meyer whose score of 68 was just two strokes shy of the top 15. Taylee Schramm shot an 87 and Abby Studt shot an 89.

The lone varsity player on the squad, junior Rachel Jensen, had a score of 148 in 18 holes at Belle Fourche.

The Wildcats hosted the pre-regions Custer Invitational Tournament on Tuesday.
