A new railing for the front porch of the Hill City Public Library was approved at Monday’s meeting of the Hill City Common Council.
The proposal was brought forth by Mikal Lewis, president of the library board.
“When the building was built it was built as a health center,” Lewis said. “They spared no expense save for the front rail. We really need to do something about this.”
Lewis said that both he and library director Tammy Alexander have identified it as a large issue.
