Valuable volunteers, valuable coins

Jewel Cave National Monument volunteer caver Chris Pelczarski is among the four local residents who received the National Park Service’s commemorative coin for volunteering at least 201.6 hours this year as part of the National Park Service’s initiative to help celebrate the service’s 100th anniversary this year.
