The Adult Reading Contest is on its way, but there is still time to register and participate.

For every 150 pages that are read a registered can put their name in for the weekly prize drawing. The contest ends March 29 at 10 a.m.

We will draw the name for the weekly prize drawing and tally up all of the pages read. The contestant who read the most pages will be the grand prize winner of a $100 Amazon gift card, second prize is a $75 Amazon gift card and third prize is a $50 Amazon gift card.

The winners will be announced March 30.

It is hard to believe t we are already making plans for the kids’ summer activities. We will be having the Kids’ Summer Reading Contest and special programs provided by the library and hosted at the Hill City Boys and Girls Club. Exciting!

If parents/caregivers are interested in helping their future students to be successful in school, please stop at the library and register your child/children in the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten. We would love to be part of their success story!

Imagination Club meets on Thursdays right after school in the Kids’ Annex.

Storytime is on Fridays at 9:30 a.m. in the Kids’ Annex. You are invited to join the wonderful preschoolers from the Hill City Boys & Girls Club for stories and activities.

The Book Club will meet at library March 30 at 5 p.m. to discuss “In the Hands of the Fisherman” by T.J. Swanson. Book Club books are available at the library help desk. Everyone is welcome!

We look forward to seeing each and every one of you at your Hill City Public Library.
