Rehabilitation of a bridge just outside Keystone is set to take place this summer, according to the Highway Department of Pennington County.
The bridge in question is located 0.8 miles west of Keystone on  Old Hill City Road crossing Battle Creek.  JV Bailey was awarded the contract to remove and replace seven double tee bridge deck units. A preconstruction meeting date is yet to be determined  with work anticipated to begin in July.
The current bridge failed a load rate test last fall  which prompted this repair. Joe Miller, highway superintendent for Pennington County, said the road will still be open and that traffic will be down to one lane. RVs and large trucks will still be able to access nearby campgrounds in the area that are popular this time of year.
The awarded contract totaled $125,950.40 and also includes removal and reinstallation of bridge railing, painting and traffic control.
Pennington County will be crack sealing on Old Hill City Road between Keystone/Hwy 16 and Camp Judson.
