Christmas parade set for Dec. 6

The 36th annual Custer Christmas Parade is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 6, at 5:30 p.m.
This annual parade of lights signals the kick-off of the Holiday season in the Southern Hills. After the parade, make plans to attend the Memorial Tree Lighting Ceremony at Way Park.  The parade will begin at 8th Street and Mt. Rushmore Road and end at Way Park on 4th Street and Mt. Rushmore Road.

Deadline for entry is Dec. 5. There is no fee for participating.

• Custer’s Christmas Star - entry displaying the best creativity and originality
• Custer’s Holiday Spirit Award - entry with the most enthusiastic participants
• Griswold Award - entry with the best light display
• Custer’s Caroling Award - entry with the best music
• Elfin Magic Award - entry best-featuring children
