CHS students place in HOSA event
Future Health Professionals, formerly known as Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), recently held a virtual state leadership conference, which included particpants from Custer High School.
Among those who qualified for the national confernece by virtue of placing in the top five of their respective event were:
• Second place in Public Health Event: Anna Marie Riner and Timothy Johnson
• Second place in Home Health Aide: Ember Fluck
• Second place in Pharmacy Science Event: Kadense Dooley (This is her second year qualifying in this event.)
• Third place in Pathophysiology Event: Emma Helfer
• Third place in Human Growth and Development Knowledge Test: Anna Marie Riner
Johnson was selected as the HOSA Social Media/Historian State Officer for the 2020-21 school year. He joins five other students from across the state.
Ember Fluck was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from Monument Health.
