Community Garden seed swap Saturday

The community garden is having its annual meeting and seed swap  Saturday, March 11 at 1 p.m. at Community Lutheran Church.
This annual meeting is “for anybody who would like to have a garden spot, or anybody who would like to help in the garden or anybody that would just like to learn about the garden,” said Jeff Schlukebier.
People are encouraged but not required to bring seeds, clippings or seed catalogs to share. Ideas for the garden are always welcome as well.
During this meeting the community garden team will find out who is interested in coming back, what spots are desired and what spots are available for those living in the surrounding area. They will also pick two work days that will take place later this spring.
“We need people in the garden,” said Schlukebier. “Being a community garden, we need people to help till the ground or people to get their hands dirty or people to help work. It needs a lot of loving care.”
To learn more about the seed swap and the community garden, interested parties can speak to Lori Comer or call Schlukebier at 605-574-2505.
