CYAF announces scholarship winners

Members of the Custer Youth and Alumni Foundation (CYAF) recently sent scholarship letters to Custer seniors. This year two students received the academic scholarship, and two students received the community service scholarship. A record number of students applied for the scholarships this year.
Anna Marie Riner and Justus Kramer received the $500 Academic Scholarship, while Ember Fluck and Shelby Gramkow received the $500 Community Service Scholarship.
Ember Fluck also received the $500 Class of ’95 Scholarship, which was awarded based on an essay contest written about Fluck’s future goals and career plans. Those applications were judged by a team from the class of 1995.
Tori Grazier, Custer High School graduate in her fourth semester as a music education major at South Dakota State University, received the $1,000 Red Zacher Education Scholarship, which is awarded to an education major upon completion of his or her second year of college.
