Glenda Knust

Glenda Arlene Knust, 85, of Custer, S.D., passed away July 4, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Bill Rice, Gary Rice, Donny Rice and Kenny Rice; and her husband, Jack Knust.
Glenda was born Jan. 27, 1939, to Glenn and Mae Rice in Custer, S.D. She lived in Custer until she married Jack Knust, the love of her life, Oct. 11, 1958. She had two children—Sandra and Cathy.
Glenda chose to dedicate herself to being the best homemaker and mother she could be. She helped her husband, Jack, run several small businesses throughout their lives. She was always up to babysit her grandchildren, Tommy and Jessica Trant, Aaron Engleman, Matt and Kayla Bower and Aubrianna.
Glenda was passionate about family and made it a point to be there for them. She loved Yahtzee and played often. She loved to gamble anytime she saw a machine. She also played Bingo and caught up with friends weekly at the local senior center. Glenda enjoyed and bowled in a league for many years in Custer and Rapid City.
There will be no services, per her request.
