Harley Harris

Harley Harris was born in White Owl, S.D., to Elmer and Eva Harris Nov. 22, 1931. The family lived in Keystone, S.D., for many years. Harley was in the Air Force during the Korean War. 
He met and married Colleen Baily while living in Heppner, Ore. Upon returning from a teaching contract in Canada, Dad taught school in Keystone or three years. Dad enjoyed attending the Keystone School Reunions. 
He went on to become a school principal, his last years in LaGrange, Wyo. Harley and Colleen had resided in Wasilla, Alaska, since 1982. He sold real estate for 25 years before retirement. He was proud to have gotten his pilot’s license at the age of 62. 
Dad passed away Nov. 6, 2024. He was 92.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Colleen;  all six siblings; and sister-in-law, Margie Harris. 
Dad is survived by his son, Troy Snow; daughters, Sheila (Larry) Robinson and Desiree (Brian) Ortega;  grandchildren, Troy, Jessie, Stevi, Kristina, Kaleb, Colter, Sadie and Sydney; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and friend Mark Hopkins, of Black Hawk, S.D.
The family will hold services this spring at Ft. Richardson Airforce Base cemetery in Alaska.
