Harold Keupp
Harold V. Keupp was born March 4, 1938, in Sioux Falls, S.D., to Vern and Rose Keupp. Harold grew up in South Dakota and loved the Black Hills.
He enjoyed playing football, basketball and baseball in high school, graduating from Custer (S.D.) High School in 1956. Some of his hobbies included ice racing on Stockade Lake, camping anywhere in the Hills and driving endless miles with his dogs in his car, taking in the local scenery and visiting with his friends coming into the auto body shop.
Harold owned Harold’s Auto Body and Sunshine Auto Sales in Custer and working with cars was his passion for over 50 years. He loved to fish and hunt as much as he could and enjoyed retired life living close to his daughter, Shelly, in Pearland, Texas, since 2011.
Harold died Dec. 6, 2019, in Pearland. He was 81.
He was preceded in death by parents, Vern and Rose Keupp; two sisters, Barbara and Darlene; and his first wife, Rita (divorced 1967).
Harold is survived by his second wife, Carmen Keupp (divorced 2011); and children, Michele (Darrel) Schmidt of Meadow Grove, Neb., Brett Richmond of Tampa, Fla., Shelly (Brian) Paulk of Pearland, and Brian (Shauna) Keupp of Arvada, Colo; and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
