Krull to run for District 30 House

Dennis Krull,  a Republican from Hill City, has announced his intention to run for the District 30 House of Representatives.
He and his wife, Kim,  owned and operated Krull’s Market in Hill City from 1992-2012. They also had stores for a time in Armour and Wall.
“I believe in supporting and giving back to the community in which I reside,” Krull said.
Krull has been a membr of the Hill City Volunteer Fire Department for over 25 years. Prior to that he served on the Armour Volunteer Fire Department for 12 years. He has also served on the Hill City Fire District board, having served as president and member with the Hill City Economic Development Board as well as the Business Improvement District board. He has college degrees in business and education and has spent his career involved in those areas.
Krull was elected to the Hill City School District Board of Education in 2015 and after two reelections currently serves as president of that board.
He and Kim have been married for 44 years and have raised “a beautiful family that we are very proud of.”
“We are enjoying watching our grandchildren grow up in the very community we call home,” he said.
Krull said he believes our government is in place to exercise the stated will of the people they serve, citing Abraham Lincoln’s quote: “The government should do for people only what they cannot do better by themselves and no more.”
“I will be a voice for responsible spending and moral/Christian values. I will strive to do what is fair and right for all the people of South Dakota, not just those supporting special interests,” he said. “I firmly believe in accountable, transparent and approachable leadership.”
