Lila Lytle

Lila (Burleson) (McClure) Lytle was born Jan. 28, 1926, in Vivian, S.D., to Myron and Grace (McLaughlin) Burleson, the 10th of 12 children born to that union. She had five sisters and six brothers. 
Lila grew up in the Custer, S.D., area. She graduated from Custer High School in 1945.
She married Clarence (Johnny) McClure in 1955.  Lila and Johnny ran the Rushmore Café in Hill City from 1958-70. Johnny died in 1969.
Lila married Eldon Lytle in 1970, and they ran a ranch near Custer for 31 years until Eldon’s passing in 2001. Lila continued to run the ranch until February 2018.
Lila died peacefully Nov. 15, 2019, at Rose Haven Senior Living Center with her niece Lila (Bland) Streff at her side. She was 93.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands; brothers,  Newell, Don, Morton, Dale and Frank; and sisters, Ruth Stephens, Dorothy McGregor, Madge Stewart, Myrna Dean and Joyce Bland.
Lila is survived by her brother Wayne (Anna) Burleson of Lead, S.D.; three step-sons; and numerous step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
At her request there will be no services.
