Lori Miner will remain on the Hill City Common Council after emerging victorious from yesterday’s election, the lone city council race in this spring’s election.
Polls stayed open until 7 p.m. as voters in Ward 2  chose between Miner, the incumbent, and challenger John Johnson for alderman.
Miner received 39 votes while Johnson received 13.
“Thank you to everyone who came out to vote in this election,” Miner said. “I am so pleased that so many people turned out for the only election in town. I look forward to continuing the work on the difficult issues before the council.”
Please note the Hill City Prevailer News staff was given inaccurate numbers the evening of the election. These are reflected in the print version of the story.
