Mary Owens

Mary Jane Owens was born Sept. 30, 1942, in Portland, Ore. She married Harold E. Owens Nov. 26, 1962. Together they celebrated 51 years of marriage.
She and Harold lived in Hill City, S.D. for the past 23 years until his passing July 6, 2014. She remained there until just recently when she returned to North Platte, Neb., to be closer to her daughter and her family.
She loved being a wife and mother, a Gramie and Great-Gramie. She especially loved Christmas and the times they all spent together as a family playing games. She loved her things, which included her deer collection, her Raggedy Ann collection and Precious Moments. She was very loved by all that knew her, from her flower arrangements to the paintings she shared or the sewing projects or all the visits and phone calls and reading on her Kindle, to all the letters to her granddaughter and all her friends far and near.
