Noem wins book award

Josh Noem, son of Rollie and Peg Noem of Hill City, was the recipient of first place in the 2021 CMA Book Awards for his novel “The End of Ending.” It is described as “a novel about baseball, beer and love that is stronger than death.”
Noem utilized South Dakota towns as names for his characters and features a main character from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.
Noem grew up in Custer and graduated from the University of Notre Dame. He returned to Notre Dame for a graduate degree and currently serves as the senior editor for the Grotto Network at Notre Dame.
