Raymond Asebroek

Raymond Edward Asebroek, passed away in Custer, S.D. at the age of 99.  
Raymond was born in a caddy shack on a golf course April 16, 1923, in Van Nuys, Calif., and grew up on a chicken ranch in the San Fernando Valley.    
Raymond joined the Army Air Corp when the United States entered WWII in 1941.  After leaving the service he got married and raised four children—Judy, Curt, Randy and Bill.  
He did a brief stint in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, building homes. From there, he became a lineman for AT&T and spent 30 years working there, working his way up to first level supervisor and retired.   Raymond moved to Custer around 1980 and fell in love with the beauty of the Hills and its people.
His services and celebration of this great man's life will be held Saturday, July 30 with visitation held 1 p.m., Saturday, July 30, at Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Custer,  234 N 6th St.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 30 at Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home.   Committal services will follow at Custer Cemetery with full military honors presented.
Arrangements have been placed under the local care of Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home.
