Robert Devers

Robert Lee “Bob“ Devers will forever be remembered for his sense of humor, incorrigible orneriness and feisty nature. Often only hindered by the conventions of society, Bob lived a life of contradictions often wild and without regard. He lived his life on his own terms, yet still being compassionate and caring of others, providing comfort, support, wisdom and guidance to those in need.
Bob was an avid reader, loved spaghetti westerns, loved cats and was a connoisseur of music. He was a scholar of life, an eloquent writer, poet and a master of music trivia.
Bob, a lifelong native of South Dakota, died April 19, 2019 in Colorado. He was 71.
He is survived by his daughters, Shelly Branan of Colorado and Kimberly Halbert of Texas; stepdaughers Christina Linn  of Minnesota and Gabrielle Becker of South Dakota; and stepson and Shannon Cisneros of South Dakota; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Nancy Yarnell of Wyoming; brother, Stephen Devers of Colorado; many nieces and nephews and an an extended family either connected by blood or through bonds of fellowship and love.
A private gathering will be held at a later date. Condolences, comments, thoughts and stories can be left at Devers85@yahoo.com.
