Timothy Norberg

Timothy Gene Norberg, 65, entered into eternal rest Oct. 28, 2025.
Tim was born in Mankato, Minn., Dec.7, 1959, to Harlow and Marlene Norberg. He grew up with three wonderful sisters, Tami, Sheri and Shani.
Tim graduated from Mankato East in 1978 and St. John’s University in 1981, where he enjoyed playing football and developing his ruthless business acumen alongside lifelong friendships.
In Mankato he met his adoring wife of 35 years, Marilyn, who shared his passions of faith, family and music. They would soon fall in love with the Black Hills of South Dakota, raising their three sons, Michael, Cody and Jacob in the beauty of the Hills.
Tim had a very strong faith in Jesus that gave him a very confident foundation in life and a sense of understanding what is most important. Tim especially loved the outdoors, hunting with his dogs and enjoying a drink with good company. Yet above all, his greatest joy was his family. He cherished every moment spent with his sons. His love for them was deep and evident to all who knew him.
Tim was a man of great strength and unwavering purpose. God blessed him with extraordinary success in everything he touched, and he never ceased to give thanks for the incredible life he was given. Tim’s memory lives on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those blessed to know him. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, love and unending devotion.
Tim is survived by his wife, Marilyn Norberg; sons, Michael Norberg (Maddison), Cody Norberg (Taylor) and Jacob Norberg; sisters, Tami Paulsen, Sheri Lund (Bob) and Shani Norberg (Jim Graham).
Tim follows his parents, Harlow, Marlene and brother-in-law Brian Paulsen into the Lord’s loving embrace.
Christian Funeral Vigil will be held at 5:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 7, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Hill City, S.D.   
Christian Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Hill City.
Arrangements have been placed in the care of Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Custer, S.D.
