Custer School District to host June 3 election

Mark your calendars. There will be an election for the Custer School District (CSD) No. 16-1 Board of Education June 3.
During the election, two board members will each be elected for a three-year term, commencing in July. The candidates who filed for these two positions are Brandy Tarap, Mark Perrenoud, Jesse Sorenson and Corey Virtue. The winners will take over for current board members Michelle Lehman and Heather Grace, who are stepping aside.
All eligible voters residing in Sentinel Hill Precincts 5A and 5B; Custer City Precincts No. 6, 7 and 8; Bear Rock Precinct No. 9; Elk Mountain Precinct No. 10 (Jewel Cave); Pringle Precinct No. 4 and Pennington County Precinct HC will vote at the the Armory located at 527 Montgomery Street in Custer.
All eligible voters residing in Fairburn Precinct No. 2 and Buffalo Gap Precinct No. 3 will vote at the Fairburn Community and Historical Society Center in Fairburn.
All eligible voters residing in Hermosa Precinct No. 1 and Pennington County Precincts KY and LS will vote at the United Church of Christ located at 105 N. 2nd Street in Hermosa.
The election polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the day of the election. If the polls cannot be opened due to weather, the election may be postponed for one week.
