According to local Facebook reports a small fire occurred in Keystone on April 6.

City to waive late fees, shutoffs

The City of Custer will not charge late fees for water, wastewater and garbage for April or May, nor will it shut off water for late payment during those two months. The Custer City Council approved waiving the fees and shutoffs by a unanimous vote at its April 6 meeting as part of its effort to assist the public during the COVID-19 pandemic.

County discusses the response act

Custer County is among the many businesses and entities working through how to deal with the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) which was passed into law March 18, with benefits becoming available April 1. One of the benefits is paid leave for employees so they can deal with the effects of the coronavirus.

Custer man killed in auto crash

A Custer man was killed in a one-vehicle crash that occurred Sunday night east of Oelrichs.
A 2001 Honda Accord was traveling west when it left the road, went into the south ditch and rolled.
Brandon Campbell, the 25-year-old driver, was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 27-year-old passenger, Kelly Campbell of Custer, was wearing a seat belt. He suffered serious non-life threatening injuries and was transferred to a Rapid City hospital. 

Sidney Park Rd. repairs discussed

They say that breaking up is hard to do — unless you’re Sidney Park Road after two of the wettest years in recorded history.
The constant barrage of snow and rain the past two years has caused part of Sidney Park Road to come apart, leading county highway superintendent Jesse Doyle to search for answers that are both effective and don’t break the bank.
