I just met this really super cool chick this last week. She is smart, adventurous and down to earth. But there is one major flaw I can’t get past. It’s been bumming me to no end. 
She is a seasonal ski patroller. She used to be a civil engineer, but 10 years ago she quit to work in the ski industry. The thing I can’t get past is what she does in the “off season.” She travels, sees the country and hikes long trails. And she does so on our dime.

What role does stress play in our health in America and, in particular, as it relates to COVID-19? Does being in a constant state of anxiety about COVID-19 related effects help or hinder us when we talk about immune resistance? What role does isolation play in our anxiety and stress over COVID-19 and are we giving this disease our last, great strength as human beings?

Some want special vaccine session

“Rep. Goodwin, please call for a special session to discuss COVID-19 vaccine mandates.”
All of us in the Legislature, 70 in the House and 35 in the Senate, are receiving many, many of these types of emails.  
We are citizen legislators, meaning we only meet for 40 days or less starting the second Tuesday in January. The next legislative session is Jan. 11 through March 10. We will have a 38-day session.

A busy summer filled with events

The last two months have just flown by and I haven’t taken the time to update. Sorry.
July was busy starting with Peggy’s Place when Lawerence Jones from “Fox and Friends” came to Keystone.   I was asked to speak at the July 4 ARISE USA Tour that was also held in Keystone at the city park.  That was an awesome patriotic event! Made a lot of new friends who love our special place here in the Black Hills.

Our attorney general’s trial begins very soon. If you’re not aware of what he is on trial for, on Sept. 12, 2020, Jason Ravnsborg drove his 2011 Ford Taurus westbound on U.S. Hwy. 14 when he struck Joe Boever. The accident happened at 10:30 p.m.

Are there any alibis?
I have one. Last week I was wrong about Sen. Rand Paul’s medical credentials.  I stated that Sen. Paul was an optometrist. This is incorrect. Sen. Paul is an ophthalmologist and eye surgeon. Boy! Did I blow that. No disrespect was meant to Sen. Paul on my behalf. My bad. I hope this clears it up.
