The Custer High School boys basketball team was scheduled to play two games last week. As it turns out, it nearly played three.
That’s because in a pair of wins over Sturgis and Parkston, the Wildcats played three overtime periods, including two against Sturgis in a 55-52 win on the Scoopers’ home floor.
“It’s hard to explain what they are doing,” Custer head coach Paul Kelley said of his young team. “These kids just keep making the plays when they really need to.”
