The Custer High School boys basketball team led by as much as 24 at one point of its season-opening victory over Newcastle, Wyo., last weekend, cruising to a 67-53 win behind 21 points from Jace Kelley, 15 points from Daniel Sedlacek and 11 points from EJ Gonzalez.
“When I watched as the game was going on, I thought we had a lot of ugly moments,” head coach Paul Kelley said. “The benefit I have is watching on video numerous times. We did a lot of good things, but there’s still room to grow and improve.”
