As the wind settles and the sun shines once more, Custer residents are facing significant property damage from the windstorm that blew through Custer in the early morning hours of Dec. 18. This includes everything from broken fences and fallen trees to smashed vehicles and damaged roofs.
Megan Fuller woke to the storm around 1 a.m. Dec. 18, saying, “It sounded like my windows were going to break. My youngest daughter is home from college, so I checked on her and reached out to my oldest daughter, who has her own apartment in town. They weren’t nearly as concerned as me.”
